Questions

What is After Aisle?

After Aisle is a curated, national marketplace designed for the modern, editorial-standard bride. We provide a sophisticated platform to buy and resell high-end wedding decor, transforming "sunk costs" into "liquid investments." Think of us as the RealReal for your wedding aesthetic.

Who is the After Aisle bride?

She is intentional, sophisticated, and savvy. She values high-end curation over marketplace chaos and is looking for a smarter way to source her wedding assets without sacrificing her aesthetic.

How is After Aisle different from Facebook Marketplace or eBay?

Curation and trust. We move away from the "digital junkyard" model. Every listing on After Aisle is vetted to meet our editorial standards. We handle the secure transactions and logistics so you don't have to deal with "is this available" messages or nickel and diming for high quality decor you invested in.

What kind of items can I sell?

We focus on high quality wedding decor and accessories. This includes linens, architectural candle holders, designer bridal accessories, custom signage frames, and premium tabletop rentals. We're curating different aesthetics. Founding sellers help shape our opening inventory.

What won't be accepted on After Aisle?

After Aisle is a curated gallery, not a clearinghouse. Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live — which means not everything makes the cut. Our rejection criteria are objective, not subjective. We're not arbiters of taste. We're gatekeepers of quality.

Condition
Permanent staining, structural damage, broken or missing components, mold, mildew, rust, corrosion, or any odor that cannot be remediated. If it arrived to your wedding in this condition, it shouldn't go to the next one.

Safety
Exposed wiring, unstable bases, broken glass, or any item that poses a risk to the buyer or their guests. Non-negotiable.

Category
Consumables — fresh or dried florals, food, single-use items, and burned candles — are not eligible. Neither are items the seller does not own outright.

Price
After Aisle has a $100 listing minimum. Items priced below this threshold will not be approved. This reflects the investment that goes into vetting, photography, and the integrity of the marketplace. If it's worth listing, it's worth $100.

Photography
Listings without the required photo set will be returned for resubmission, not rejected outright. A minimum of 5 photos is required for every listing: a full item shot, a close-up detail shot of texture or craftsmanship, a wear or imperfection shot (required for Good condition items, strongly recommended for Excellent), at least one professional wedding photo of the item styled in use taken by your wedding photographer, and a timestamped condition photo taken after your wedding and submitted as a screenshot from your phone's camera roll with the date visible. This is how buyers verify they're seeing the item as it exists today, not how it looked on the day. Great photography isn't optional here. It's the product.

How do I list my items?

Once our MVP launches, the process will be seamless. You'll upload high-resolution photos, provide item details, and our team will vet the listing for quality and aesthetic alignment before it goes live to our national community of brides.

When does the platform officially launch?

We are currently in the "Build Phase". By joining our waitlist, you'll get early access to our Beta launch and exclusive updates on our progress.

How will After Aisle ensure and maintain quality standards?

Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live — nothing is published automatically. Sellers are required to submit professional wedding photos, timestamped condition photos, and meet our strict packaging and shipping standards. We've put together a full guide that outlines exactly what we expect. Read the After Aisle Seller Guide →

How do sellers get paid — and what does After Aisle take?

We believe in full transparency. After Aisle takes a 20% commission on each completed sale. As a seller, you keep 80% of your listing price, paid out to you once the transaction is complete. Our first 25 founding sellers are an exception: they pay zero commission, forever, as a thank you for helping us build this from the ground up.

Who pays for shipping?

Buyers pay for shipping, calculated automatically at checkout based on the item's size, weight, and your delivery address. The item price you see on the listing is the item price — shipping is calculated separately and shown in full before you complete your purchase. No surprises.

If you're local to a seller, some listings offer a local pickup option, which eliminates shipping entirely. Even with shipping factored in, you're still owning your decor outright and reselling it after your wedding — which still beats renting by a wide margin.
